First Free iPhone App About 33 European Cities
ECM (European Cities Marketing) has launched its first iPhone app about its 33 member cities, across 19 countries, including Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden and our neighbour’s Copenhagen, Oslo and Reykjavik. The tool has been developed by European City Card Group and 33 cities work together to develop the city’s City Cards for visitors. Following the launch of the website, www.europeancitycards.com in 2008, the group have now produced this innovative tool.
A City Card is a card that gives you free or discounted admission to museums and attractions in a city together with public transport and other advantages for the visitor. It is usually delivered with a map or a brochure which includes information about all the sights in the city and everything that it has to offer. With the iPhone app, the visitor has a mobile tool to discover the city.
The cities the iPhone app gives you more information about and which also offer the City Card are:
Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bruges, Brussels, Copenhagen, Cordoba, Dijon, Dubrovnik, Dublin, Gijon, Gothenburg, Innsbruck, Krakow, Lisbon, London, Lyon , Nice, Nuremberg, Olomouc, Oslo, Prague, Reykjavik, San Sebastian, Split, Stockholm, Tallinn, Tarragona, Åbo, Turin, Valencia, Vicenza, Zagreb and Zaragoza.
