The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will be held in Sweden in 2011. The Jamboree will be held near the town of Kristianstad, in the province of north eastern Skåne.

The camp site will be Rinkaby and has already been tried and tested for some successful national Jamborees, including the 2001 event for 26,500 Scouts and the successful 2007 ‘Jiingiijamborii’. This time the event expect to welcome up to 80000 visitors from all over the world, which means a great opportunity to share our nature, history and culture with the world. It also means a logistic challenge to participants and organizers who already are preparing for this amazing and impressive camp to raise on the fields of Rinkaby. Not far away are large tracts of unspoiled nature, and the beach is only a few minutes away by bus. Perfect for a Simply Scouting adventure.

We, the incoming DMCs from Skåne will collaborate to provide ground services and programs for pre/post tours in Skåne and Scandinavia.

The closest airport to the Jamboree site is Copenhagen and Malmö Airport, but you could also arrive in other Swedish local airports for combinations of visits during pre/post tours.

Another possibility is to arrive by ferries from Germany, Poland, Baltics and Finland.
