Swedish Tradition in Moonlight Spell
The darkness is lightened up with Chinese lanterns and the moon is full. Now we will make the most of the warm August evenings in Sweden. The crayfish party season is coming up!
Friends and strangers are gathering together in town squares, gardens or harbours to celebrate this little red (after cooking) creature. The ceremony is important, hats and bibs are on, special songs are written and the dishes prepared, crayfish, bread, cheese, beer, snaps to salute with, and perhaps pie to complete with. All around Skåne you will find official and local arrangement to join, some of them with hundreds of participants.
