“Most people who visit this area of Kullaberg are struck by it’s rugged beauty. Past participants have also agreed that it offers one of the most challenging 50k routes they have ever done in the region so uniquely beautiful that it looks like no other part of Sweden. All participants have come to love the spirit of the event. – race director”
You will go race through beech forest and along the coast also going through the infamous Death Zone and the towers of the secret kingdom Ladonia. This is a region of Sweden known as Skåne, where Danish and Swedish cultures have been interwoven for centuries.
The soul of the route and event are built upon a myth that dates back to the year 1202 and about a powerful man that was said to rule the mountain and cliffs – Kullamannen! He sent passing ships to the deep and haunted the seaside cliffs of Kullaberg.
In May 2013 a new walking trail alongside the coast on the peninsula “Kullaleden” will open. The trail be certified within the program for international trails : “Leading Quality Trail Europe”.
