Tall Ship Race Helsinki
The Tall Ships Races event is organized in Helsinki, Jätkäsaari from Wednesday until Saturday 17.-20.7.2013. This event causes special traffic arrangements in downtown Helsinki already during the building and deconstruction work 12.-22.7.2013. The special traffic arrangements will have an effect on cruise passengers in the West Harbor area and near it.
Cruise passengers travelling from/to West Harbor should reserve enough time to arrive at the terminal and to exit the harbor area.
The crew parade is arranged on Thursday 18.7. at 15.00-16.00. The parade route is: Pohjoisesplanadi-Mannerheimintie-Bulevardi. Passengers should note that the traffic will slow down and at times pause altogether in these streets and nearby areas in downtown Helsinki.
The Tall Ships Races is organized in the Baltic Sea every four years. Other host cities in addition to Helsinki are: Aarhus, Denmark; Riga, Latvia and Szczecin, Poland.
