Using snow blowers, special balloons and lots of muscle power, this extraordinary event opportunity and accommodation has been created on 39-hectares of private property in Abborrträsk in the municipality Arvidsjaur Norrbotten. Guests have the choice between standard and romantic igloos (from 6 or 2 persons respectively), saunas and outdoor hot tubs are also available for an extraordinary and unique experience. Careful attention has been paid to the artistic creation of the Iglootel. Events, presentations and overnight accommodations are only part of the offer. Drinks are served in glasses made of ice, the bar is made completely of snow and, when you’re not dancing, you can relax on soft, comfortable reindeer skins and enjoy the one-of-a-kind ambience. An typical stay in the IGLOOTEL might be arranged as such: Transfer from the hotel, Laponia in Arvidsjaur, to the igloo village, enjoy an aperitif and warm welcome to the Iglootel, take an expertly-guided snowshoe hike, relax in the sauna and hot tub, savor cheese fondue for the evening meal, and enjoy an overnight stay in a polar sleeping bag provided for use at the igloo and a hot drink in the morning. Further adventurous, local activities at the hotel made of snow include snowmobile tours, snowshoe hiking and dogsled safari in the region.
