Subway to the City Beach Copenhagen or Autumn Event

Amager Riviera in CopenhagenFrom Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen you now will be able to get transfer to the centre of Copenhagen within 15 minutes. This new subway line also passes the chic beach area on Amager, 7 minutes from the airport. I suppose this easy way to travel within a capital city is unique in the world.

But most of us will wait until next summer to use this service. For a short city break it will be valuable to get the shopping streets and beach within a day without loosing time on transportation.
While we wait for the warm summer days – Copenhagen always offers exciting exhibitions and events, all year round. Here are some of them (and when you need to relax; jump on a train, and find yourself (after one hour or less) zipping a glass of hot wine in by the fireplace in the cosy little inn.

Night of Culture October 12th
Visit the impressive building that houses Copenhagen Stock Exchange, walk around the city’s pentagon-shaped citadel in the dark, and discover Copenhagen in a magnificent one night only light setting. Those are some of the many new events offered this year during Copenhagen’s Night of Culture.

On 12 October – October 22nd the doors will open for the second time for Halloween at Tivoli. With witches, scarecrows, owls, cats, spiders and pumpkins visitors are guaranteed ten days of “horrific fun” in the famous gardens.

Or you could create your own eventlist at the hompage of Visit Copenhagen!
