Lights in Alingsås, 24 September – 31 October near Göteborg in Sweden has become an international meeting place through experimental lighting of the town. It is one of Europe’s largest lighting projects . Every year leading lighting designers from all over the world visit Alingsås. Each of them has selected a public environment in Alingsås in advance and has accepted the assignment to create exciting lighting with the help of students participating in workshops. have proven time and time again through previous projects. The workshop involves your participation in the planning, carrying out and evaluation of the lighting project. An interesting international symposium with lecturers from the lighting industry is to be held on Friday the 3rd of October 2008. An inauguration of the lighting objects is to take place later on in the day.

The nearest airport is Landvetter airport or Gothenburg city airport. These two are about 40-50 km from Alingsås.
