Self Drive Eco Circuit in September
During two days in September, a number of organic farmers from around Skåne invite the public out into the country-side, where they will offer a range of exciting activities. One common activity for all the participating farms is ”Bonden
berättar” (The farmer’s story) that takes place twice each day. It is also an opportunity to meet the local farmers and gain insight into organic production methods. During this event the farmer tells the story behind his or her farm and the visitor is welcome with their own questions concerning organic food production and environmental issues!
Last year I attendened the very first Eco Farmers Circuit ”Ekorundan” that took place in the south of Sweden. The event was a great success, with several hundred visitors on each farm. Therefore, due to public demand, there will be a follow-up this year. I still remember the passionate farmer with the beautiful experimental garden near Lund in Skåne.
So pack your picnic baskets experience fresh air, home-baked and healthy food, pleasant company, animals and rural beauty. Ekorundan , 6-7 September 2008.
