Secrets Of The Blue Mountain

800px-swanOne of the highlights during early spring, is the gathering of resting swans at lake Tysslingen, situated in the middle of Sweden. At the end of March and beginning of April, you can see between 1000-3000 swans. Kilsbergen hills with the swan lake Tysslingen at their feet also are named “The Blue Mountain”.

Most of the migrating swans are not Swedish, but are on-route to Finland and Northern Russia and rest in this quite small area in the direction to the Baltic Sea. Distance from Stockholm, approx 200 km, direction east. Link to Tysslingen Foundation here.Kilsbergen
