Scandinavia Improved In Flight Searches
It will be hard to predict travel trends further on. Hitwise, the leading on-line competitive intelligence service, reveals that UK Internet searches for flights have fallen by 42% comparing with last year. This trend report is followed by comments and discussions how to use the information to predict the outcome of 2009. In the end of January an updated report will show whether the result we have now is because of changes in consumer spending habits or because of the way the days fell this year.
Other travel trend report is the ITB World Travel Trends Report which tracks trends in outbound travel demand for the first eight to nine months of 2008. Here you also will find with estimates for the full 12 months of the year and preliminary forecasts for 2009.
