Scam Warning for Travel Agents and Hotels
Have you met Dr. Jones and his family? Beware of his request for travel services. Recently I have doubts about this booking and checked on the Internet for the name of Dr. Kelvin Jones. I found the procedure as a classic attempt to fraud. On the website Pillows and pancake you can read more about this kind of scam.
This is the request I received a while ago:
FAMILY VACATION/ENQUIRY

I like to make a reservation in your facility for the services of a car rental/tour guide services and accomodation for my family.We shall be touring round your country.we are coming to your country for our Family vacation.Kelvin Jones,Mrs Kelvin,(kelvin Jnr 17yrs),(catherine15yrs)
Arrival date: 5th June 2008
Departure date :6th July 2008
Number of days: 1 month
Number of Guest: 4
Confirm availability and get back to me with your rates and total cost so that i can give you my credit card details for a deposit payment.

Note that he uses two names (there are problably more) here, Martiny and Kelvin. Everthing paid in advance by creditcard and a request to transfer money to a third part like restaurants, health centre etc, with no possibility to accept credit card. Sure there is no money in the end..
