New SPA Hotel in Torekov in Southwest Sweden
Ready for a romantic escape? We are met by candlelights, soft music, Scandinavian design and the scent of cedar wood as we enterered the new hotel wing of Torekov Hotell near Båstad last weekend.
The new building has a low profile and blends harmonically into the open landscape.
Natural materials such as cedar wood, glass and washed brick have been used both for the facade and indoors. The hotel has a generous lounge with open fire, exercise suite, and 30 double rooms. Each room has its own terrace, some of them with an open view to the sun set in the gulf.
In the new very nice gym of cedar wood the hotel offer activities all year round; Pilates, qi-gong, Nordic walking, group training/aerobics, water training, meditation, line dancing.
Lazy summer days at their best the chef and bartender move out onto the large terrace beside the pool every day at 4 pm. Here we experienced a tasty grill buffet with something for everyone.
Torekov is a small fishing village on the Bjäre Peninsula where the sea is all around us. It 
is not so crowded as Båstad but still if you want entertainment and party life (during Summer) you only have to drive 15 minutes to Båstad, cross the Hallandsåsen Ridge.
You get to Torekov in two hours from Copenhagen, by car. Normally you also can go by railway to Båstad and then take a taxi (10 kilometres). The village is surrounded with nature experiences and local farms and artists to visit. This is also the potato district in Sweden.
Hallands Väderö is an island outside Torekov. The island is a nature reserve, and is owned by the church. The nature consists of forests, marshes, rocks, a beach, junipers, and pastureland with sheep. The rocky islets outside the west coast of the island have a seal colony. You get there by boat 20 minutes from Torekov harbour.
