Claes Ljung, chairman and owner of the classic bedding company DUX, has combined his business interests by integrating a Duxiana- brand bedding store within a hotel premises. Personnel at this exclusive Malmö hotel not only take care of their guests, but are able to help with the purchase of a bed at the same time.
The hotel property, originally built in 1891, was designed by noted Malmö architect August Lindwall. After extensive renovation, and with the assistance of interior designer Charlotte Ljung, daughter of Claes Ljung, the newly opened hotel provides luxury and comfort in the heart of the city center. All hotel guest rooms are furnished with DUX beds, and the atmosphere is further enhanced by DUX furniture. Of particular note are two corner rooms, where elegant bathtubs are tucked into bay windows which overlook the western canal.
