New Fine Dining For Food Lovers In Stockholm

Oxen in the archipelagoOaxen, the world famous archipelago restaurant, is to close its doors for the last time after the coming summer season. The couple, Magnus Ek and Agneta Green are keen to try their hands on something new.

Their plan is to open a new restaurant in Stockholm city just by the bridge towards Beckholmen where today only an old, rusty tin shack can be found. The new restaurant will be located on Djurgårdsvarvet’s land close by the Gröna Lund amusement park.

The current location of the summer-only open Oaxen in the Stockholm archipelago’s southerly point is too inaccessible to be considered by the Michelin Guide. Most other critics have considered Oaxen to be perhaps one of the most superior food havens Sweden has to offer.

The new restaurant has yet to be given a name but it will however, in contrast to Oaxen, be open all year round and include a so-called fine dining area and a larger, somewhat more relaxed area. Food lovers’ mouths are already watering.
