Malmö festival – eight days in august
From some 13 stages, over 900 hours of free entertainment are offered at the Malmö Festival. The visitor can enjoy everything from famous opera prima donnas to hip hop, blues, jazz, pop, rock´n´roll and heavy metal, as well as a wide variety of cultural experiences: film, music, theatre, performances, poetry, literature and much more. Few festivals are as popular, well attended and well reputed as the Malmö Festival. It has about 1.4 million visits over eight days and should be accessible for everyone through being free of charge, reflect the cultural diversity of Malmö and offer something for all ages and tastes. The big food market at Gustav Adolfs torg, where aromas from far and wide tickle our senses, is widely known and appreciated.
