Luxury Hotel in Åre Opens in November

The luxury hotel Copperhill Mountain Lodge will open in November this year in Åre (see film from Åre).The hotel has 112 rooms and suits that will be opened all year around for a total of 580 people.

Copperhill Mountain Lodge is designed by architect Peter Bohlin, who among other things, has designed Bill Gates private house.

Åre is a popular winter resort, approx 1000 km north from Stockholm. Nowadays they also offers a lot of adventures in the mountains during summer time. There are direct flights from south Sweden or you could use the nearby airport in Trondheim in Norway!

Facts:
Located at 730 metres above sea level in Björnen, Åre, Sweden.
Ski-in/ski-out access to Åre’s slope system.
112 hotel suites and rooms sized 15–110m2, with 420 standard beds and 160 extra beds
(580 beds in total).

The hotel has a modern appearance and a lodge-style setting. It was designed by the
renowned American architect Peter Bohlin, famous for drawing Bill Gates’ private
residence and Apple’s prestigious stores.
Several restaurants and bars: Niesti restaurant with modern European cuisine (150
seats), Coppermine Co slope restaurant and après-ski bar, Fireside lounge and bar, and
CU cocktail bar.

The Managing Director is Peter Nilsson.
Total investment cost EUR 48 million.
Owned by Dutch investors, Peter Kat and Frans Scholtes.
Grand opening in 2008.
