Lobster Safaris Start This Week
Today is the start of the lobster season 2008.Traditionally, the Lobster Season starts on the first Monday after the 20th of September. Well before this day, people in the fishing villages start working on the preparation of the lobster pots.
Several operators will offer lobster safaris on the Swedish West Coast. Each fisherman watches over his own lobster waters. Usually it takes two or three days before you can go out and harvest the beautiful, delicious, shining black creatures.
Lobster Day boat trip: Our guests set out to sea, bundled up in protective clothing (provided by the operator), under the command of experienced skippers. With joined forces we haul up our catch from the waves and in order to keep the good spirits up, hungry sailors can enjoy the delicious contents of the picnic hampers. The trip takes approx. 3-4 hours. Nearest international airport is Landvetter located in Göteborg/Gothenburg.
