New Hostel In Stockholm

December the world’s first hostel inside a real jumbo jet will open at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. This aircraft has now been moved to its final destination at the airport entrance. The Jumbo Hostel will become a new Stockholm-Arlanda landmark. Construction will now begin on the world’s first hostel inside a real jumbo jet, a Boeing 747-200.
The aircraft was towed on August 28 from the stand inside the airport where it had been parked since 2002, when it retired from charter flight service. Its final destination, and the construction site for this globally unique hostel, is at the airport entrance.
The Jumbo Hostel will open up to overnight guests in December.

Arlanda will have a new attraction and a quite different alternative for spending the night. This will suit many categories of guests, such as families with children, young people and ”experience seekers” growing tired with the usual hotels, Oscar Diös adds. Already today we see a great interest with travel operators and tourist organizations across Europe and the USA.
