Join a Beach Party in Swedish Salsa City Helsingborg
With the sunset glowing
from the horizon and the
ferries between Denmark
and Sweden as background
we opened the summer season in
Helsingborg some days ago.
About 300 people from all over Skåne attended to the traditional beach party in south Swedish resort Helsingborg. The master chef recruited from the top restaurant Grythyttan served “Paella” and Spanish wine accompanied by traditional music; Salsa (or perhaps it was Samba?).
Later on in the shimmering light of the sand, the sea and the sunset – artists and audience joined in a sandy traditional dance:)
From now on until October or something the palm trees will give characteristic to the waterfront of Helsingborg as will the party tunes. Welcome to join!
Only minute’s away right across the Öresund you can see Denmark, Elsinore and the Kronborg Palace, the castle of Hamlet. The ferry route is hugely popular with day-trippers going to Copenhagen or simply enjoying the views from the ferries.
Bordering on the sea, the city has built a beautiful new beach park area by the waterfront with beaches, large wooden sunbathing deck, sun beds, restaurants and cafés.
