There is so much to experience this summer for anyone with an interest in food. Across Skåne, events are running throughout the year.
There are many festivals, themed days, markets and fairs aimed directly at those of you with an interest in food from Skåne. Be inspired, buy the dinner of the day, sample something new and enjoy the year’s food events.

Helsingborg Festival, July 26–28, Helsingborg
A city festival offering something for everyone in terms of food, music and entertainment.
Skillinge Gooseberry Festival, July 28, Skillinge
The gooseberry festival in Skillinge is a gathering for adults and children, and residents and guests from far and near. Gooseberry competitions, gooseberry café, outdoor quiz, lotteries, gooseberry drawing competition and more. Best in show – the most beautiful berry – is presented.

Österlen Harvest Festival, August 5, Svenstorp/Tosterup
Harvested food from the local area, children’s activities, old fashioned market with doughnuts, sweets and an extensive handicraft exhibition. Plus plenty of song, music and dance.

Food from Skåne at Smyge, August 7–8, Köpmansmagasinet, Smygehuk
Sampling and sale of ‘äggkaka’ with accompaniments, hot dogs, coffee party with seven sorts of cakes, breads, smoked sausage, honey, marmalade, ostrich products, pies with mushroom, vegetables, rapeseed oil, biscuits and ‘spettekaka’ baking from Skåne, and more.

Goose and Golf, October 26–28
Bjäre’s excellent golf courses are at their best when other courses have already closed. Skåne geese are plump, and the apples, red cabbage, ‘Brussels sprouts’ and rowanberries are ripe. Visit Bjäre over a weekend, play golf and enjoy a genuine goose menu.
