Director Of The Bergman Estate Foundation
Hanns Rodell has been appointed the Ingemar Bergman Estate Foundation’s first artistic director to stimulate the arts and sciences in collaboration with Fårö’s distinct nature and culture.
Hanns Rodell is a trained pianist and educator and has worked as a chamber musician and accompanist both nationally and internationally.
He will be the one to now take over and establish the Bergman Estate nationally and internationally. The initial work includes receiving the Bergman Estate’s first artists and guests, including Liv Ullman and Jon Fosse in the beginning of the summer, as well as closely cooperating with the Bergman Center, Bergman Week and the Ingmar Bergman Foundation. “Now the properties will be preserved and filled with new contents in cooperation with Fårö’s local population; a cultural program which also is aimed at children and young people”, says Linn Ullman the daughter of Ingemar Bergman.
