Copenhagen Opera House
The Copenhagen Opera House is one of the world’s most modern opera houses. Several hundred square meters of 24 carat gold leaf covers the ceiling and the walls and balconies are clad in shining maple wood.
The house was designed by Henning Larsen, one of Denmark’s most respected architects, and works by some of the best artists in the country have been chosen to decorate the interior. The Opera was inaugurated in January 2005 and is definitely worth a visit.
