Copenhagen gets floating hotel
Denmark’s first floating hotel, Copenhagen Living, will open its gangway for guests in the summer of 2007. The hotel will be located in the inner harbour just ten minutes walk from central Copenhagen and is operated by the company Waterliving. The well reputed, neighbouring restaurant ship, VIVA, will handle the hotel catering and room service for guests in the 12 exclusively decorated hotel rooms. The interior of the hotel will blend design classics with bespoke furniture specially made for the hotel, while the panoramic widows will offer a great view of the harbour and city. The rooms will be decorated by some of the most talented young artists in Denmark. Just around the corner form the hotel is one of the city’s open-air harbour swimming pools, open to the public from June to the end of August.
