Big water festival in Helsingborg and Ramlösa

DunkersHelsingborg Tropical BeachOn June 17th Helsingborg the 4th largest city in Sweden will celebrate the 300 hundred years old Ramlösa spring with a big water festival in the park and later on also in the centre of the city. Old veteran shuttle buses will be used for transfers from/to the park.
In the evening a gigantic illuminated water performance will take place in the harbour to the accompaniment of the Helsingborg Symphonic Orchestra. Sounds pretty heavy don’t you think?

Ramlösa Park celebrates 300 years together with Linné in 2007. Linnaeus visited Ramlösa, and much of the 18th century setting remains. When you hold a new bottle of Ramlösa in your hand, it represents 70 years of work. 70 years is the time it takes for plain drops of water to seep through the earth crust to the spring. During this time, the water has travelled through 20 layers of sandstone, clay, coal and sand. Drop by drop it slowly finds its way down to the spring, 90 metres below the surface. It has been purified and contains minerals in a way that is possible only here. When you visit the park you can taste the water sipping down the naked cliff.
The water is not processed except for aerating and filtering it, then adding 5 g of carbon dioxide per litre. Today the brand is owned by the Danish brewery Carlsberg.
