A three-day gourmet trip to the southwest corner of Skåne

Day 1. Stay at Ängavallens Farm, approx 20 kilometres from Malmö. This modern farm, which oozes harmony, grows, rears and serves exquisite food. You will enjoy gastronomic delights, using local produce such as meat from the farms own cows, pigs or lambs and organic vegetables and herbs. Seasonal menus in the farm restaurant include early vegetables, autumn game dishes or traditional festive meals. Overnight accommodation is in the cosy hotel, furnished and decorated with very carefully chosen organic materials, and immaculate down to the last detail. The farm shop stocks delicacies for a picnic or presents to take home.

Day 2. After a breakfast buffet at Ängavallens farm continue approx 20 kilometres south to Skanör. Skanör is a historic fishing village where herring has been caught, smoked and sold for over a thousand years. Stroll through the picturesque streets. The surroundings have much to offer – a challenging day on the golf course, or a relaxing walks along white sandy beaches. Comfortable overnight accommodation is in a traditional Skåne inn Skanörs Gästgivargård.
The cuisine is based on the traditional Swedish kitchen, with influences from France, the Basque country, and northern Italy. Some of the leading Swedish chefs and sommeliers create exciting gastronomic journeys with great passion and care in a unique setting. Two of their chefs are finalists in the Swedish Championship 2007 for chefs, out of 24 for from all of Sweden.
