Pick up/drop rental car in Malmö city.
Day 1. The Örenäs Castle, is set between Helsingborg and Landskrona with a magnificent view cross the sea to Denmark and the island of Ven. Drive north from Copenhagen and Malmö along the coast. The surroundings are characterised by the hilly landscape formed during the ice age. Here are villages and places that are well worth a visit. You get to them along small roads surrounded by natural beauty and the areas provide you with rich cultural and historic experiences. Around the genuine fishermen buildings from the 1770’s, we find the Borstahusen open-air recreation area with hills with a large number of burial mounds and ancient remains.
Your overnight stay includes: Vine, exotic fruits and flowers at the double room in the magnificent manor, a three-course meal in evening. Drive from Malmö approx 60 kilometres.
After breakfast, cross the rural landscape of Skåne and arrive at the Bäckaskog Castle, located on a narrow neck of land between two glittering lakes. Monks built a monastery on this location in the 13th century. They combined the monastery life with outdoor activities and lived by farming, fishing and gardening. Prince Oscar (I) rented the castle in 1818 and assigned it to his son Karl XV, who spent each summer here from 1845 until his death in 1872.
Whatever your interests are the area around Bäckaskog has something to offer you. Good shopping, great fishing, clean beaches and lots of golf courses. Do not miss the panorama view from the small country road.
Drive from Landskrona approx 120 kilometres
Day 3. After breakfast drive back south again to Häckeberga Castle and its wonderful surroundings at lake Häckeberga and the nature reserve Ridge of Romele Here you can recreate in your mind its fascinating architectural and cultural history, its historical figures and their adventures, and you can enjoy its carefully managed forests, its fresh air, beautiful light and peace and quiet. Take a walk round the lake and be well prepared for a delightful and tasty supper. The local artists and farmers have created a culinary trip for you with lots of small unique shops to visit.
Your overnight stay includes: Double room in the magnificent manor, coffee or tea when you check-in, a four-course meal in evening, breakfast.
Day 4. After breakfast, drive back to Malmö, approx 50 kilometres, visit the Turning Torso exhibition and have a gourmet lunch at the new build harbour area before crossing the bridge to Copenhagen.
