Golf courses:
Kullaberg golf course winds around the top of the hill where one can still find traces of people living back as far as 6,000 years ago. Linnaeus has wandered here as Tycho Brahe, who at one time owned the whole hill. Now the delightful well-kept fairways and Swedens fastest greens dot the natural landscape. Ture Bruce laid out a golf course that is beautifully adapted and full of surprises. Three holes are adjacent to the sea, and it is breathtakingly beautiful.
Only fifteen minutes away there is another world class 18 hole golf course: S:t Arild Golf Club with a mile wide view overlooking the old cultivated landscape. The course architect, Jan Cederholm, has carved generous fairways between fish ponds and lovely plantings. Birds nesting in the area force some special consideration periodically at hole number 4! The S:t Arild GC maintains a comfortable atmosphere where quite a few young people enjoy spending their free time. The course is highly regarded for major competition. All types of golfers express delight over the course.
Another fifteen minutes south lies Viken -Helsingborg golf course, a 9 hole on the moor between the sand dunes and the sea. Here people have played golf since the close of the 1800’s. Golf magazines have frequently described this seaside course. Öresund is only a wedge from the green. Here you play with the wind, which tests your game and provides a wonderful challenge.
In the same neighborhood is Lerberget 9 hole course at the edge of the residential area not far from a fishing village from the 1700’s. Here you find a generous practice area for beginners who would rather be together with other amateurs. The course is pay-and-play, which means that you don’t have to have a green card or official handicap to be able to play.
