Travel Gate Sweden provides packages for joining the celebration of swedish and Scanian traditions. It is a great culinary experience to enjoy. Every season and nearly every month throughout the year has is own traditional food and ceremonies. Ask for traditional when you plan the ordinary packages. We also arrange home hospitality where your guests will be invited to a Swedish family for experiences traditional food and celebration.
In September and October the eel festivals will invite you to an old tradition where in the old days the farmers invited the owners of fishing water to have a party in the beach sheds. It is a magical experience – believe me.
In November the goose will be at the center of culinary dishes.
In December the Christmas Buffé will be served in a fantastic decorated mileu.
2.August and September event: The Crayfish Party
The host of Kastanjegården get the guests to experience real Swedish folk tradition. The adventures of the afternoon, evening and night among live and boiled crayfish can very well become an unforgettable memory !
The guests arrive between 5 and 7 PM and are wished welcome with a glass of champagne by the host of Kastanjegården, who tells about crayfish, crayfish farming and Swedish tradition mixed with some biological facts. We put crayfish on the table for 12-14 persons in the Yellow Pavilion or for larger companies on the Terrace with space for 50-70 persons

Midsummer in June means newly picked potatoes with herrings, strawberries and cream, beers and Absolut Vodka. Packages for groups include transportation in the afternoon to traditional Midsummer festival near the hotel. Location all over Sweden!
