Excursion to Odense and HC Andersen / 6 hrs

Hans Christian Andersen’s House – the house where our famous fairytale author was born – is probably the best-known museum in Denmark. The museum has recently been extended, and today houses a remarkable collection of rare and even unique publications of his works, private letters, paper cuttings, drawings and many of his personal possessions such as his pocket watch, clothes, the rope he always carried on his travels, and his suitcase. The museum stands in the heart of the old part of the city, where the streets are narrow and cobbled, and where the hollyhocks bloom throughout the summer.
