Here are some tours for you interested in gardens and nature. The guided tours are suitable for groups and cruise passangers with a few hours stay. For individuals sharing a rental car(fly & drive) we will be glad to make adjustments and provide iteneraries.

Sofiero Photo Skånefotografen1. Visit Fredriksdal Museums and Gardens and enjoy the beauty and scents of the wonderful rose garden and botanical garden. In the unique landscape garden you will see examples of the variety of the nature of Skåne. The history of the mansion and the old town quarters will be told. At the Sofiero Castle and Gardens, the former Royal summer residence, your guided tour will take you through the rhododendron ravine, that is in full bloom in May-June and along the paths in the Crown princess Margareta’s flower walk.

2. Drive along the coastline, through the picturesque fishing villages towards Kullaberg peninsula. Drive through Mölle, a well known seaside resort at the turn of the century 1800-1900, famous for its decadent life allowing men and women to bathe together! Continue to Kullaberg Nature reserveand visit northern Europe’s brightest lighthouse. Thereafter your guide takes you on a walk among the cliffs, also visiting two caves. The one hour walking tour is not suited for people with walking disabilities.

3. The tour will take you through the open farming landscape and the greenery of the wide beech woods as well as some of the many castles and palaces. A visit to Knutstorp Castle, a private owned stronghold is included before you reach the National Park of Söderåsen. The national park, “the
Grand Canyon of Skåne”
, has northern Europe’s largest area of deciduous forest. The circular lake of Odensjön remains an enigma, although there are various theories about volcanic crates or subsidence in the bedrock. You will stop for a short walk in the woods.

4. Exclusive for July each year the Royal residence Fredensborg Palace, the Reserved garden and the Orangery are open for public on guided tours. You will also visit the public park with the well known baroque garden and Nordmandsdalen, the sculpture park shaped as an atrium theatre. After lunch continue to the Orchid Nursery where more than 3.000 orchids can be found. They are constantly developed and refined and the Orchid Nursery gains hundreds of diplomas every year. A lecture and guided tour of the Nursery is included.

5. First a guided tour at Kronborg Castle, a magnificent renaissance castle in Elsinore known as the backdrop of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. After a short ferry ride to Helsingborg you will visit the former Royal summer residence, the Sofiero Castle and Gardens, famous for its rhododendron ravine. After lunch continue to Trollenäs Castle, a private castle from the 16th century with an intact baroque interior.

6. Visit the , Hamlet’s Castle a renaissance castle and former military fortres Kronborg Castles overlooking the narrow Oresund sound between Denmark and Sweden.The tour continues towards the Royal Family’s summer residence – Fredensborg Palace – where you will visit the lovely baroque park and Nordmandsdalen sculpture park. Next highlight is Frederiksborg Castle. This pearl of history, built in magnificent Renaissance style with a touch of baroque, is now the National Historical Museum.

7. Kronborg Castle is at the same time an excellent example of a renaissance castle showing the glory of the Danish Kingdom and a military fortress surrounded by major fortifications. It is easy to understand why William Shakespeare choose Kronborg as the setting for his famous play “Hamlet” as you feel the atmosphere when taken through the Chapel and the Knight’s hall – the longest room in Northern Europe. Visit the Royal Chambers, the Councillor’s Hall with the seven tapestries and the underground casemates and “Holger the Dane”.

8. Exclusive tour to Skåne Nort East includes a visit to the distillery of the most famous Swedish brand ever; the Absolut Vodka. After city sightseeing in Helsingborg you drive east to Wanås Castle famous for its art exhibitions in the park and beautiful situated Bäckaskog Castle, originally built as a monastery in the 13th century. After lunch you continue to the distillery in Åhus for a guided tour. At the restaurant nearby you will hear the “Absolut Reflection” i.e. the story of the Absolut Vodka; the birth, the vision, growth and the marketing of the famous brand. You will also have the opportunity to taste the different vodkas.

Ramlösa Spring

9.Visit the Ramlösa Spring and Sofiero Castle, once the royal summer residence. The beautiful garden is well known for its more than 10.000 rhododendron. Drive through the magnificent Pålsjö Forest and its majestic beech trees on your way back. The famous landmark Kärnan and the St:a Maria’s Church dating back to the middle ages will be visited and at Ramlösa Springs you may taste the mineral water while hearing about the glorious Spa and it’s heydays during the 1800’s.
