Borrby – The Swedish Booktown
Five European Booktowns (in Belgium, England, Italy, Norway and Sweden) are currently working with the Australian Booktown, Clunes, on plans for a major cultural collaboration called ‘A Shared Story’.
The proposed project uses the centenary commemorations of the Great War as a common link. Each Booktown is busy planning a range of activities to explore their connection with that time in history – through the use of personal stories, from diaries and letters of the period. We have an amazing diversity of themes and stories to explore and share with our communities and festival visitors.
